ServicesTree Trimming and Removal
Tree Trimming and Removal in Ocoee
We trim trees so they keep shading your home without hanging over the roof, and we take down the ones that have become a real risk. You get a plain answer on which is which, careful cuts, and a yard left clean when we pack up.

Trim or remove: the right call for each tree
Most trees in a yard don't need to come down. They need the right cuts: dead wood out, weight taken off long limbs, and clearance from the roof, the driveway and the lines running to your home. A thinned canopy lets wind pass through instead of catching it like a sail, so the tree holds up better in a storm.
A healthy shade tree on the west or south side also takes heat off your walls and windows on an Ocoee summer afternoon, which means your air conditioner doesn't have to work as hard. We prune with that in mind, lifting and thinning rather than stripping a tree bare and losing the shade you rely on.
Removal is the right answer when a tree is dead, badly decayed, leaning toward the house or growing in the wrong spot. If that's the case, we tell you plainly, show you why, and take it down in controlled sections.
What our tree work includes
Crown thinning and cleaning
We remove dead, crossing and weakly attached branches so light and air move through the canopy. The tree keeps its natural shape and most of its shade.
Roof and structure clearance
Limbs resting on or over the roof drop leaves that hold moisture on shingles and can scrape in the wind. We cut them back to a sound branch so the tree grows away from the house.
Raising low limbs
Lifting the lower canopy clears walkways and the driveway and lets more sun reach the grass below. It pairs well with our lawn care if turf under your trees has been thinning out.
Sectional tree removal
When a tree has to go, we bring it down piece by piece, lowering heavy wood by rope where there's a roof, fence or pool enclosure nearby.
Chipping, haul-off and cleanup
Branches are chipped and hauled away, and we rake and blow off the lawn, beds and driveway. Stumps are cut low, and we can grind them out through our stump grinding service. Palms are handled separately under palm tree pruning and removal.

Signs a tree needs attention
- Dead or bare branches
- Limbs that stay leafless while the rest of the tree is green are dead wood. They get brittle and tend to drop without warning.
- Limbs over or touching the roof
- Branches rubbing shingles or hanging over the house are worth cutting back before a windy day does it for you.
- Mushrooms, cavities or soft wood
- Fungus at the base, hollow spots or crumbly bark often mean decay inside the trunk. Laurel oaks in particular can look full on top while rotting underneath.
- A new lean or lifted soil
- A tree that has started leaning, or soil that cracks and heaves on one side of the trunk, may have root problems and should be looked at soon.
- Shade in the wrong places
- If the lawn is dying under a dense canopy while the house still bakes in afternoon sun, selective trimming can move the light where you want it.
- Split or hanging limbs after a storm
- Broken branches caught in the canopy can fall at any time. Keep people and pets clear and have them taken down carefully.
How a tree job runs
- 1
Free on-site walkthrough
We walk the yard with you, look at each tree and tell you honestly whether it needs trimming, removal or nothing at all. If a removal may need city approval, we check that before anything is scheduled. You get a written estimate that lists each tree and the work planned.
- 2
Setting up the work area
On the day, we mark the drop zone, move or cover outdoor furniture and plan where the truck and chipper park so your lawn and driveway are protected.
- 3
Careful cutting
Cuts are made just outside the branch collar so the tree can seal the wound. We don't top trees. Large limbs are roped down instead of dropped near anything that matters.
- 4
Cleanup and a final look
We chip and haul the debris, rake and blow off every surface, then walk the yard with you so you can see the finished work before we leave.
What affects the cost of tree work
Every tree job is priced after we've seen the trees in person, because two trees of the same height can be very different jobs. Your free estimate breaks the work down tree by tree, so you can do the most urgent pieces now and the rest later if you prefer.
- Size and canopy spread
- Taller trees with wide crowns take more climbing time, more cuts and more debris to haul.
- Access and what's underneath
- A tree in an open front yard is simpler than one behind a narrow gate or leaning over a roof, fence or pool screen. Tight spots mean more rigging and handwork.
- Condition of the tree
- Decayed or storm-damaged wood can't be trusted to hold weight, so it takes slower, more careful work to bring down safely.
- Trim, removal and stump
- Full removal costs more than pruning. Grinding the stump is a separate line on the estimate, so you choose whether to include it.
Tree trimming and removal questions
- Will trimming hurt my tree?
- Over-pruning does, which is why we take only what the tree needs and leave plenty of live canopy. Clean cuts at the branch collar heal well. Topping and stripping the inside of a tree weaken it, and we don't do either.
- Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Ocoee?
- Some removals need approval from the city, depending on the tree and where it stands on your property. We check during the walkthrough and let you know what's required before any removal goes on the schedule.
- How often should my trees be trimmed?
- Most mature shade trees do well with a trim every few years. Young trees benefit from lighter, more frequent pruning to build a strong structure. Late winter and spring, before the summer storm months, is a good time to get it done.
- Can you remove a tree that's right next to my house?
- Yes. Trees close to a roof or fence are taken down in small sections, with heavier pieces lowered by rope. We plan every cut before we start so nothing lands where it shouldn't.
- What happens to the stump?
- We cut it low to the ground as part of the removal. If you want it gone so you can plant or lay sod, our stump grinding service grinds it below grade and we can add that to the same visit.
- Do you offer financing for larger tree jobs?
- Yes. Bigger projects, such as several removals at once, can be financed for amounts up to $100,000. Repayment terms run anywhere from 2 to 12 years, and paying the balance off early never adds a penalty. Ask about it on your walkthrough or when you phone us.
