Seasonal Cleanup in Ocoee
We clear the oak leaves, cut back cold-burned plants, tidy overgrown beds and haul everything away. You get a yard that looks cared for again, plants with room to recover and an outdoor AC unit that can breathe. It starts with a free walkthrough of your property.

A reset for your yard, a few times a year
Central Florida does not have one big fall leaf season. Live oaks here hang on to their old leaves through autumn and shed them as spring approaches, a cold snap can brown out tender plants overnight, and the summer rains push shrubs and vines to grow faster than most people can keep up with. A seasonal cleanup catches up on all of that in one visit, so you are not spending every weekend on it.
We also look at the parts of the yard that affect how your home runs. Shrubs crowding the outdoor AC unit, leaves packed against the condenser fins and branches shading the wrong side of the house all cost you a little in comfort and power. Where trimming or clearing will genuinely help, we tell you. Where it will not, we say that too.
What a seasonal cleanup includes
Leaves and storm litter cleared
Leaves get pulled from under shrubs, cleared from the lawn and cleaned out of the corners where fences and walls trap them. Fallen twigs, palm fronds and other storm litter go too.
Cutting back cold damage
After a frost, plants like hibiscus, ixora and some ornamental grasses often look dead on top. We wait until the risk of another cold night has passed, then prune back to healthy growth so the plant can push out new leaves.
Shrub and hedge shaping
We trim back growth that has crept over walkways, windows and the driveway. Shrubs get cut back from the outdoor AC unit, since the condenser needs clear space around it to move air well.
Bed weeding and edging
Weeds come out by the root, and bed edges get recut so the line between lawn and bed is clean again. If your beds need fresh mulch, we can add it as part of our mulch and beds service.
Haul-away and final cleanup
Every bag and branch leaves with us. We blow off the driveway, walks and patio before we go, so the only sign we were there is a neater yard.
Signs your yard is ready for a cleanup
Leaves piling up in the beds
A thick layer of oak leaves smothers groundcover, holds moisture against stems and gives weeds a place to start. It also hides the edges of your beds.
Brown, crispy plants after a cold night
Frost-burned growth will not green back up. Cutting it off at the right time lets the plant put its energy into new shoots.
Shrubs touching the AC unit
When branches and leaves crowd the condenser, it has to work harder to cool your home. A clear ring around the unit is a simple fix.
Hurricane season is coming
Loose branches, dead fronds and piles of yard debris can become projectiles in high wind. Clearing them in late spring or early summer means less to worry about when a storm is in the forecast.
Overgrowth after the rainy season
By fall, many yards have vines climbing fences and hedges grown well past their shape. One cleanup gets things back to where regular lawn care can keep them.
How the work goes
- 1
Walkthrough and estimate
We walk your property with you, look at what needs attention and talk through what matters most to you. You get a clear written estimate before any work is scheduled.
- 2
A set day on the calendar
We agree on a date that works for you. You do not need to be home, as long as gates are unlocked and pets are inside.
- 3
The cleanup itself
Our crew works through the yard section by section: leaves and debris first, then pruning and trimming, then weeding and edging. Most homes are finished in a single visit.
- 4
Haul-away and a last look
We load up all the debris, clear hard surfaces and walk the yard one more time. If we spotted anything worth your attention, like a dead limb or a broken sprinkler head, we let you know.
What affects the cost of a seasonal cleanup
Every yard is different, so we price each cleanup after seeing it in person. The walkthrough and estimate are free, and the scope is written down before we start, so the price only changes if you ask us to add something.
- Yard size and how many beds
- A small front yard with two beds takes far less time than a large lot with planting along every fence line.
- How far it has gotten away
- A yard cleaned up each season goes quickly. One that has gone a year or two needs more cutting, pulling and hauling.
- Volume of debris to haul
- Heavy leaf drop from several mature oaks, or a lot of storm litter, means more loads and more disposal.
- Extras you add
- Fresh mulch, plant replacement or a larger tree trimming job can be added to the same visit. We price each one separately so you can choose.
Seasonal cleanup questions
Something not covered here? (407) 986-0087
When is the best time for a seasonal cleanup here?
Most homeowners do well with one in late winter or early spring, after the oak leaf drop and the last cold night, and another before or after the summer rains. Some add a pre-storm visit in late spring. We can suggest a schedule after seeing your yard.
Should I cut back plants right after a freeze?
It is usually better to wait. The damaged top growth helps shield the rest of the plant if another cold night comes. Once the cold risk has passed, we prune back to healthy wood.
Do you take all the debris with you?
Yes. Leaves, branches, fronds and weeds all leave with us, and we clean off the driveway and walks before we go. You will not be left with bags at the curb.
Can a cleanup really help my energy bill?
In a modest way, yes. An AC condenser with leaves packed in its fins and shrubs pressed against it cannot move air as freely, which makes it run longer to cool your home. Clearing that space is one of the easier ways to help it work as designed.
Can you take care of bigger trees during the same visit?
Small limbs and shrubs are part of every cleanup. Larger limbs, whole trees or tall palms fall under our tree trimming and removal or palm tree pruning and removal services, and we can often schedule them alongside your cleanup.
